Price discounts

The WCB plugin allows you to run promotions through discounts and sale prices. In this article we will cover the type of discounts you can apply:

2. Discounts

Sale prices

A simple way to run some discounts is by entering a “sale price” for your options and configuration form. We only support “sale prices” for the fixed price type in choices.

Discounts

Another way to apply sale prices to choices is through our discount rules.

You can find the discount rules in WCB > Settings > Discounts.

Each discount rule consists of four fields:

1. Choice: the choice you want to apply discount to
2. Option: specific option you want to target (optional)
3. Type: fixed discount or percentage discount
4. Discount: discount amount (min 1, max 99)

Conditional discount

If you have the conditional display add-on (or pro bundle) installed, you can also set conditional rules for discount rules.

This gives you the ability to run discounted up-sells. For example, get 10% off when you select both option A and B.

Highlight discounts

As of version 1.4.1, you can also highlight discounted items.

To activate this, head over to WCB > Settings > Pricing and check the option “Show sale price discount labels”.

This will show the discount label after the price:

Input field discounts

At the moment we only support discounts for base configuration prices and fixed option prices. We will add support to apply discounts to input fields in the near future.
