Formula price

In this article

Formula price is part of the advanced price calculation add-on

With formula prices you can build your own formula price to calculate prices based on multiple input values and/or choices

The formula builder

You can build all of your formula’s in the formula builder, which is provided by the advanced calculation add-on. All formula fields will get the formulas from this page.

To create a new formula, simply head over to WCB > Formula’s and create a new formula. There are various blocks available to build your formula:

  1. Choice: get choice total price or the selected option count
  2. Input: get the input total price, input value, or input value length
  3. Operator: choose any match operation, like +, -, /, *
  4. Custom value: enter any custom defined value
  5. Product price: gets the current configuration product base price
  6. Price table: pulls the table price for the field group. Only useful in formula + table price combinations (see heading “Field group formula” on this page)

Option formula

You can assign formula’s to single choice options or assign formula’s to the field groups in the configuration form builder.

For option formula, head over to your WCB choice edit page and change price type to formula.

Next, assign formula for each option and save the choice.

Field group formula

You can also assign formula to a field group. Head over to your configuration form builder and add a new “Field Group” block if you haven’t created one yet.

Next, check the box “Single price” and set price type to “Formula” or “Table + formula”

Finally, select your desired formula from the formula list.

Total price formula

Finally, you can create formula for the total price, which is described in the base price article.
